Livewell Catawba

Catawba County Health Partners approached Formation at the end of 2016 to explore possibilities around rebranding and if applicable, renaming their organization. This collaborative group is part of a Duke Endowment cohort awarded a Healthy People, Healthy Carolinas grant and needed to make sure that the important work they were about to do would be understood, embraced, and spark a wellness movement among their partners and community.

The Formation team visited the staff and board in Hickory, NC,  kicking off the branding process with a communications workshop. This boot camp gently nudged the group towards a collective understanding around the work they do, what they want to be known for, and the messaging needed to engage and impact. With that information in hand, the Formation strategic communications team developed a communications plan, offered guidance on naming, and collaborated internally with our design team to develop a new color palette, logo options, and real time adaptations for the client. Together, we landed on an incredibly active, vibrant logo that the client loves.

LiveWell Catawba launched their new brand in May 2017, successfully following the roll out plan offered by our strategic communications team. As needed, our design team continues to finish out collateral items for this enthusiastic nonprofit and looks forward to seeing great things accomplished in Catawba County with the LiveWell team at the helm.

Buckeye hills regional council

Formation was hired by the Buckeye Hills-Hocking Valley Regional Development District, located in Marietta, Ohio, to assist them with a rebranding and naming effort in anticipation of their 50th anniversary. The Formation team worked diligently to understand the regional context, organizational history and future vision of the organization in order to create a new brand, assist in determining a new name, and develop a communication plan to roll the package out to their constituents.

Buckeye Hills launched their new brand in April 2017 and have seamlessly taken the recommendations for comprehensive communications and integrated them into their day to day operations. Formation is very proud of the success this group continues to have in their region.
